Dr. David Jaffee is back, bringing his sociology, politics, and housing expertise with him. In this episode, Dr. Jaffee explains the challenges facing the country as we struggle to meet the housing needs of American workers. Unimpressed with the government’s response to the “financialization of human shelter,” he is gathering data to investigate solutions to the housing crisis that centers on human flourishing over corporate bottom lines. There was so much to discuss that we hardly made a dent in the topic, but I hope this gives you some idea of what is possible regarding shelter.
